Right foot first...
I absolutely love to take walks - either alone, or with a good friend. They give me time to lay out all of the thoughts in my mind; which happens to be quite a lot. My thoughts are like precious gems buried deep in the Cretaceous mines of my mind. I never really know what my next thought will be, but that’s the most exciting part. I get to surprise myself with intricacies and simplistic...

Stepping Stones
My mind has definitely been the lone passenger aboard a space shuttle through emotion and confusion. But in retrospect, it was worth it for this moment. I’m definitely happy with where you and I are now. It feels great to be friends again - although our friendship never ended in the beginning - but I missed these moments. I know it’s going to take time for us to be back to where we...

Day 8: Least favorite character in a Stephen King...
Big Jim Rennie in “Under the Dome” is definitely my least favorite character. But I can’t deny how awesomely vile he is. He kills a pastor and the widow of the former police chief, but he is unflinching in his control over Chester’s Mill. I think that’s why I dislike him so much. He lives through every page, solely for himself. If the town’s people suffer, he...

Day 6: Favorite character in a Stephen King story
My favorite character, isn’t actually a human. Christine was purely awesome to me. Not only was she a car, but she was a car with a vengeance. The love that she had for Arnie was frighteningly amazing. And the way Stephen King brought her to life and personified her was nothing short of brilliant.

Day 3: Favorite Stephen King book
“Under the Dome” is definitely my favorite. The plot is so creepy because who’s to say it couldn’t actually happen: A small town in Main is closed off from the rest of the world by an invisible/impenetrable dome. Talk about feeling claustrophobic. Even though the book is pretty huge, it’s definitely worth the time it takes to read it. The way that the characters...

Day 2: What was the first book you read by Stephen...
Christine was the first book I read by Stephen King. It was also my biggest inspiration to dive deeper into the mysterious worlds of science fiction and horror.  Christine reminded me a lot of things that I had going on in my life at the time. Of course the car was purely vindictive and the most vengeful thing on the road. But I couldn’t blame her. I appreciated the deeper meaning and...

Day 1: When/how did you become a Stephen King fan?
The first book I ever read by Stephen King was freshman year in High School (yeah I know, I definitely should’ve started reading his books earlier.) So I’m sure everyone knows this already, but public school lunches absolutely SUCKED!!! Especially the ones in DISD (Dallas). So, instead of going to lunch, my best friend and I would spend the period in the library. I would help...

The Need for More...
Okay… So I really want to post a lot more than I do right now. Going to class, then work afterwards everyday really has halted my efforts. So I’ve come up with a plan. I’m going to start a 10 day Stephen King Challenge. He’s the reason why I started writing, so I hope you enjoy it. 1. When did/how did you become a Stephen King fan? 2. First Stephen King Book you read? ...

Running in Place
I often find myself stuck in an endless jog on this treadmill. It sits in the far corner of my mind. The settings remain the same for each session. The timer set to life, incline adjusted to level twenty, and the speed… Well, the speed always changes. It varies from day to day depending on the most recent thought before my run. Today, I thought about you. I remembered how close we were - the...
